Fish of the Hawaiian Reefs is a series of three field guides that explore 10 endemic reef fish species, their connection to island culture, and the problems that coral reefs are facing in the current day. Each field guide features bold, playful illustrations and an inviting typographic pairing to represent the vibrance and visual excitement that coral reefs evoke. Each field guide, in conjunction to one another, is set on a different level of depth, starting from the shores of the Hawaiian islands, into the heart of the coral reef, and ending in the great depths beyond the reefs themselves. From information to visuals, this field guide series serve to tell a story of the Hawaiian reefs and their multi-faceted roots and importance to the islands.
