TypeCon 2026 is a project that utilizes a visual system and expressive typography to create a brand identity for a hypothetical TypeCon convention. The project’s main stay features a 20x40 inch poster, accompanied by a convention program booklet, speaker and attendee lanyards, and vinyl stickers. “Type on Display,” being the proposed convention theme, explores how display typefaces offer a bold visual intrigue in the realm of typographic design and the emotion their forms evokes within the viewer. The design utilizes hashed lines, layered typefaces, and a vivid color palette throughout to create an expressive and playful viewing experience that is characteristic to display typefaces.
